New York High School Football - Bishop Kearney gets by Canisius
September 26, 2009: Rochester, NY 14617 The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Bishop Kearney Kings (Rochester, NY) and the visiting Canisius Crusaders (Buffalo, NY), witnessed Bishop Kearney's football squad tip Canisius by a margin of 24-23.
In their next game, the Kings clash with the Batavia Blue Devils (Batavia, NY) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 2. Bishop Kearney will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Blue Devils enter the match with a 0-4 record after their 66-7 league loss to Eastridge (Rochester, NY).
The Crusaders (1-3) will now prepare for their match against St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute (Buffalo, NY). The Marauders enter the Monsignor Martin AA match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute was nudged by Aquinas Institute (Rochester, NY), 42-7, in a non-league match.
