Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC), 52-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Hopewell upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Titans host West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC) to encounter the Lions in a 4A I-Meck bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 7-6. West Charlotte won 65-47 in their recent league bout against Vance (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Vikings encounter the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. North Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 76-32 league loss to Harding University (Charlotte, NC).
