Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA) fans were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their basketball team trounce the host Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA), 98-74 in a non-league game.

The Toreadors now own a 18-5 record. They play next when they travel to Granada Hills for a West Valley game on Wednesday, February 8. Taft will meet a Highlanders team coming off a 64-52 league loss to Birmingham (Lake Balboa, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 15-8.

The Spartans now own a 13-8 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe for a Valley Mission game on Wednesday, February 8. Sylmar will meet a Vikings team coming off a 58-49 league win over San Fernando (San Fernando, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 14-9.
