October 17, 2008: Talladega, AL 35160 The Talladega Tigers football team (Talladega, AL), was ripped 42-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Shelby County Wildcats (Columbiana, AL)
The Wildcats (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Chelsea (Chelsea, AL). The Hornets come into the 5A Region 4 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Chelsea trounced Hazel Green (Hazel Green, AL), 34-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carroll Catholic for a 5A Region 4 challenge on Friday, October 24. Talladega will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 33-30 league win over Moody (Moody, AL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-4.
