Spectators at Friday's league battle between the West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) and the host South County Stallions (Lorton, VA), saw West Springfield's baseball squad edge South County by a count of 5-4.

Coming up next, the Spartans play the Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA) in a AAA Patriot battle, on Tuesday, April 17. West Springfield will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a 6-3 record after their 5-2 league win over T.C. Williams (Alexandria, VA).
