In Friday's league game, the Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX) football team were victorious over the host Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX), by a score of 20-6.

The Knights (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Ball (Galveston, TX). The Tornadoes come into the 5A Region III District 23 game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Ball knocked off Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX), 24-13, in a league game.

The Stingarees now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Varsity Opponent for a game on Thursday, October 2. Texas City will meet a team coming off a 62-13 non-league loss to George Ranch (Richmond, TX). The record now stands at 10-21.
