California High School Basketball - JSerra Catholic crushes Taft

JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA), 68-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, JSerra Catholic upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA) to play the Monarchs in a Trinity bout on Thursday, January 3. The Monarchs come into the bout with a record of 12-0. Mater Dei won 96-74 in their recent non-league bout against Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD)

Next up, the Toreadors play the Oak Park Eagles (Oak Park, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 28. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 49-43 non-league loss to Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA).
