Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons (Wilcox, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Alma Cardinals (Alma, NE), 52-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wilcox-Hildreth upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Falcons travel to Pleasanton (Pleasanton, NE) to play the Bulldogs in a D2 District 7 bout on Saturday, December 18. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Southwest Roughriders (Indianola, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 14. Alma will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 41-39 non-league loss to Decatur Community (Oberlin, KS).
