Kentucky High School Basketball - Rowan County holds off Russell

Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), 66-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rowan County upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 22. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 16-3. Bullitt East won 58-46 in their recent non-league battle against Spencer County (Taylorsville, KY)

The Red Devils (11-9) will now prepare for their battle against East Carter (Grayson, KY). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, East Carter edged Greenup County (Greenup, KY), 56-46, in a non-league battle.
