New Mexico High School Basketball - Lovington overwhelms Parkland
December 5, 2009: Lovington, NM 88260 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) and the visiting Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX), saw Lovington's basketball squad trounce Parkland by a score of 65-40.
With the victory, Lovington improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Clovis (Clovis, NM) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 19. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.
Next up, the Matadors play the Onate Knights (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 8. Parkland will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 56-33 non-league loss to Roswell (Roswell, NM).
