New Jersey High School Basketball - Franklin overwhelms Marlboro
February 23, 2009: Somerset, NJ 08873 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Franklin Warriors (Somerset, NJ) and the visiting Marlboro Mustangs (Marlboro, NJ), saw Franklin's basketball squad trounce Marlboro by a score of 72-37.
With the victory, Franklin improves its record to 10-12 on the campaign. The Warriors host Somerville (Somerville, NJ) to battle the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 27. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Somerville won 65-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ)
Next up, the Mustangs battle the Southern Regional Rams (Manahawkin, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 24. Marlboro will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 68-65 non-league win over Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ).
