The Southwest Guilford Cowboys basketball team scored 85 points and held the host Western Guilford Hornets to 74 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cowboys now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenn for a 4A Piedmont Triad contest on Friday, January 6. Southwest Guilford will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 56-51 league win over East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-8.

The Hornets (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Dudley (Greensboro, NC). The Panthers enter the 4A Metro contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Dudley was defeated by Reagan (Pfafftown, NC), 69-54, in a non-league contest.
