The Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ), 71-66 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Thunder (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Hoover (San Diego, CA). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 12-2 record. In their last test, Hoover was tipped by Lexington (Lexington, SC), 63-41, in a non-league test.
