Tennessee High School Basketball - DeKalb County can't hold off Watertown
December 29, 2010: Watertown, TN 37184 The Watertown Purple Tigers basketball team scored 33 points and held the visiting DeKalb County Tigers to 29 in the Purple Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Purple Tigers now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red Boiling Springs for a A District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 4. Watertown will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 47-38 non-league loss to Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-1.
The Tigers (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Bledsoe County was nudged by Cannon County (Woodbury, TN), 62-32, in a non-league contest.
