California High School Basketball - Center can't hold off Bear River

The Bear River Bruins basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Center Cougars to 51 in the Bruins league triumph on Friday.

The Bruins now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln for a Pioneer Valley contest on Tuesday, January 31. Bear River will meet a Fighting Zebras team coming off a 73-56 league win over Colfax (Colfax, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 12-10.

The Cougars (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Placer (Auburn, CA). The Hillmen enter the Pioneer Valley contest with a 15-7 record. In their last contest, Placer was nudged by Foothill (Sacramento, CA), 63-47, in a league contest.
