Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), saw Valley's basketball squad hold off Cibola by a count of 55-49.

With the victory, Valley upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Vikings host Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 18. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Rio Rancho won 54-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Gadsden (Anthony, NM)
