The Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS) basketball felled the host Canton Tigers (Canton, MS), 49-35 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Vikings (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Florence (Florence, MS). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 10-5 record.

The Tigers now own a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madison Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Canton will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 74-39 non-league win over St. Andrews Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 7-6.
