October 1, 2011: Weston, MA 02493 The Rivers Red Wings football team (Weston, MA), was beaten 40-14 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Governor's Academy Governors (Byfield, MA)
The Governors (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Buckingham Browne & Nichols (Cambridge, MA). The Knights come into the Independent School challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Buckingham Browne & Nichols achieved victory over St. Sebastian's Country Day (Needham, MA), 31-28, in a league challenge.
The Red Wings now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Groton School for a Independent School challenge on Friday, October 7. Rivers will meet a team coming off a 38-19 league win over Brooks (North Andover, MA). The record now stands at 2-0.
