October 14, 2011: Pinetops, NC 27864 The Southwest Edgecombe Cougars football team (Pinetops, NC), was tipped 21-19 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC)
The Vikings (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Farmville Central (Farmville, NC). The Jaguars come into the 2A Eastern Plains challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Farmville Central was tipped by North Pitt (Bethel, NC), 53-24, in a league challenge.
The Cougars now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greene Central for a 2A Eastern Plains challenge on Friday, October 21. Southwest Edgecombe will meet a Rams team coming off a 40-12 league loss to Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Rams record now stands at 4-4.
