Pennsylvania High School Football - Germantown Academy held off by Haverford School
October 20, 2012: Fort Washington, PA 19034 Haverford School Fords (Haverford, PA) fans left the game content Saturday as they saw their football team nip the host Germantown Academy Patriots (Fort Washington, PA), 20-14 in a league test.
With the triumph, Haverford School improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Fords travel to William Penn Charter (Philadelphia, PA) to meet the Quakers in a Inter-Academic challenge on Friday, October 26. The Quakers come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. William Penn Charter lost 27-20 in their recent league challenge against Malvern Prep (Malvern, PA)
The Patriots now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Springside Chestnut Hill Academy for a Inter-Academic challenge on Saturday, October 27. Germantown Academy will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 21-0 league loss to Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-6.
