Shelby Miller came in and Dominated the Bulldogs from Bandera in Game 2 of the Regional Semifinal. Her FB was top notch and her rise ball was electric as she kept Bandera at bay surrenedering only 2 runs in 7 innings. Her fastball was so explosive she sawed off a bat of one of Bandera's hitters, completely breaking it off at the handle.
Sweeny's potent offense finally came to life for the night as Tricia Hock and Kymbrey Bass led all hitters with 3 and 2 hits respectively with each scoring 2 runs in the contest. Sweeny's first run came in the 3rd inning off a leadoff double by Bass followed by an RBI double by Hock. An RBI single by Dannelley plated Hock to finish out the 3rd inn. The Lady Bulldogs picked up a run in the 5th off a single by Morgan Finley and an RBI double by Terra Varnado. They scored 2 more in the 6th with another double by Bass followed by a single by Hock and a 2RBI fly ball hit deep by Finley that was dropped by Bandera's centerfielder to score the 2 runners.
