January 16, 2014: Stockton, KS 67669 The Oakley Plainsmen basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Stockton Tigers to 49 in the Plainsmen league triumph on Thursday.
The Plainsmen now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norton for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 18. Oakley will meet a Bluejays team coming off a 55-44 non-league win over Plainville (Plainville, KS). The Bluejays record now stands at 5-4.
The Tigers (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Plainville (Plainville, KS). The Cardinals enter the Mid-Continent contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Plainville was outscored by Norton (Norton, KS), 55-44, in a non-league contest.
