Florida High School Basketball - Central holds off Ridgewood
January 9, 2010: New Port Richey, FL 34653 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Central Bears (Brooksville, FL) and the host Ridgewood Rams (New Port Richey, FL), saw Central's basketball squad hold off Ridgewood by a score of 59-55.
With the victory, Central improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Pasco (Dade City, FL) to play the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 11. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 1-12. Pasco lost 63-26 in their recent league challenge against Wesley Chapel (Wesley Chapel, FL)
Next up, the Rams play the Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL) in a 4A District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 12. Ridgewood will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record.
