Kansas High School Basketball - Thunder Ridge holds off Pike Valley
February 14, 2012: Scandia, KS 66966 Thunder Ridge Longhorns (Kensington, KS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Pike Valley Panthers (Scandia, KS), 49-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, Thunder Ridge upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Logan (Logan, KS) to play the Trojans in a Northern Plains bout on Thursday, February 16. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 0-15. Logan lost 76-30 in their recent non-league bout against Decatur Community (Oberlin, KS)
Next up, the Panthers play the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs (Sylvan Grove, KS) in a Northern Plains bout, on Friday, February 17. Pike Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 51-30 non-league win over Osborne (Osborne, KS).
