Hope Lions (Hope, KS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Peabody-Burns Warriors (Peabody, KS), 39-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hope upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Elyria Christian (McPherson, KS) to play the in a Wheat State bout on Tuesday, January 11. The come into the bout with a record of 2-7. Elyria Christian lost 39-28 in their recent league bout against Wakefield (Wakefield, KS)
