North Carolina High School Football - Rockingham County prevails Williams
September 30, 2011: Burlington, NC 27215 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) and the host Williams Bulldogs (Burlington, NC), observed Rockingham County's football squad defeat Williams by a count of 42-13.
The Cougars now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Guilford for a 3A Mid-State contest on Friday, October 7. Rockingham County will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 48-0 league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-4.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs encounter the Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) in a 3A Mid-State contest, on Friday, October 7. Williams will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 28-21 league win over Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC).
