Georgia High School Football - Dougherty topped by Crisp County
October 23, 2009: Albany, GA 31705 The Dougherty Trojans football team (Albany, GA), was beaten 10-0 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA)
The Cougars (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Cairo (Cairo, GA). The Syrupmakers come into the 1-AAA challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Cairo achieved victory over Perry (Perry, GA), 26-7, in a league challenge.
The Trojans now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Peach County for a 1-AAA challenge on Friday, October 30. Dougherty will meet a Trojans team coming off a 36-13 league win over Worth County (Sylvester, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 8-0.
