California High School Basketball - Corning fells Willows

December 6, 2008: Willows, CA 95988

Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Willows Honkers (Willows, CA), 51-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Corning upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Gridley (Gridley, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 4-0. Gridley won 53-40 in their recent non-league bout against University Prep (Redding, CA)

Next up, the Honkers play the Orland Trojans (Orland, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 9. Willows will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 56-35 non-league loss to Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA).
