Douglas Eagles (Douglas, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sardis Lions (Boaz, AL), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Douglas upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Weaver (Weaver, AL) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Monday, November 22. The Bearcats come into the bout with a record of 2-0.
