California High School Volleyball - Torrey Pines edged by Sacred Heart
September 17, 2011: San Diego, CA 92130 The Sacred Heart Valkyries held off the host Torrey Pines Falcons volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Valkyries now have a 19-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Presentation for a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 20. Sacred Heart will face a Toppers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Portland Christian (Louisville, KY). The Toppers record now stands at 8-9.
With the loss, Torrey Pines moves to 6-3 on the year. The Falcons host Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA) to face the Breakers in a non-league contest on Wednesday, September 21. The Breakers go into the contest with a record of 0-2. Laguna Beach lost 3-1 in their recent non-league contest against Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA)
