Delaware High School Football - McKean edges Archmere Academy
October 29, 2005: Claymont, DE 19703 In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting McKean Highlanders football team scored a close 8-6 win over the Archmere Academy Auks.
With the win, McKean improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Highlanders host Hodgson Vo-Tech (Newark, DE) to meet the Eagles in a Blue Hen Flight B game on Friday, November 4. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 6-2. Hodgson Vo-Tech won 18-14 in their recent league game against Brandywine (Wilmington, DE)
The Auks (2-6) will now prepare for their game against North Caroline (Ridgely, MD). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 7-1 record. In their last game, North Caroline edged Cambridge-South Dorchester (Ridgely, MD), 48-27, in a league game.
