Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT), 7-6 in a league test.

With the win, Newtown upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Nighthawks travel to Pomperaug (Southbury, CT) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Thursday, May 17. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 18-1. Pomperaug won 9-4 in their recent non-league test against Bethel (Bethel, CT)

With the defeat, New Milford falls to 10-8 on the season. The Green wave travel to Bunnell (Stratford, CT) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Friday, May 18. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 12-7. Bunnell won 7-2 in their recent league test against Brookfield (Brookfield, CT)
