In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV) basketball squad beat the visiting Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV), by a margin of 57-41.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Lincoln (Shinnston, WV). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Lincoln was beaten by East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV), 56-44, in a league outing.

The Mountaineers now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Byrd for a Big Ten outing on Friday, December 9.
