February 8, 2011: Watseka, IL 60970 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL) and the visiting Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons (Gibson City, IL), saw Watseka's basketball squad hold off Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley by a score of 35-31.
With the victory, Watseka improves its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Iroquois West (Gilman, IL) to battle the Raiders in a Sangamon Valley challenge on Friday, February 11. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 10-14. Iroquois West lost 61-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Manteno (Manteno, IL)
Next up, the Falcons battle the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 12. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley will attempt to improve on its 2-21 season record.
