Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Sun Valley topped by Springfield
December 20, 2008: Springfield, PA 19064 Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA), 70-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Springfield upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Lower Moreland (Huntingdon Valley, PA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Monday, December 22. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Lower Moreland lost 62-50 in their recent league bout against Devon Prep (Devon, PA)
Next up, the Vanguards play the Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) in a Ches-Mont - American bout, on Tuesday, December 23. Sun Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 55-40 league win over Octorara Area (Atglen, PA).
