Forrest City Mustangs (Forrest City, AR) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Central Cougars (West Helena, AR), 34-33 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Forrest City improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR) to confront the Golden Eagles in a 5A East test on Friday, September 26. The Golden Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-2. Greene County Tech won 32-7 in their recent non-league test against Kennett (Kennett, MO)

With the loss, Central drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Newport (Newport, AR) to confront the Greyhounds in a 4A Region 2 test on Friday, September 26. The Greyhounds come into the test with a record of 2-1. Newport lost 48-9 in their recent non-league test against Sylvan Hills (Sherwood, AR)
