January 22, 2010: Wichita, KS 67219 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Heights Falcons (Wichita, KS) and the visiting Hutchinson Salt Hawks (Hutchinson, KS), saw Heights's basketball squad knock off Hutchinson by a score of 60-44.
With the victory, Heights improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to South (Wichita, KS) to play the Titans in a Greater Wichita City challenge on Tuesday, January 26. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. South won 53-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Goodland (Goodland, KS)
Next up, the Salt Hawks play the McPherson Bullpups (McPherson, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 26. Hutchinson will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Bullpups come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 58-50 non-league loss to Derby (Derby, KS).

Heights had revenge on its mind when it faced Hutchinson, the only team to beat the falcons last season. Perry Ellis scored 8 points including a crowd pleasing dunk and Heights earned a 12-8 lead after 1 quarter.
Second Quarter
Heights extended its lead in a very slow paced game. The Falcon defense was the story of the first half. Heights limited Hutch to 17 points and led 26-17.
Third Quarter
6 different falcons scored as Heights racked up 20 points against a tuff Salt Hawk defense. Heights led 46-34 after 3.
Fourth Quarter
5 different Falcons scored. Ellis finsihed with 24 points and 6 boards. Terrence Moore scored 13 points. Heights earne a spot in the T.O.C. finals to face Gardner Edgerton out of Kansas City.
