California High School Basketball - Hercules can't hold off Piner

The Piner Prospectors basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Hercules Titans to 59 in the Prospectors non-league triumph on Friday.

The Prospectors now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Novato for a non-league contest on Monday, December 22. Piner will meet a Hornets team coming off a 49-47 non-league loss to Burbank (Sacramento, CA). The Hornets record now stands at 2-6.

The Titans (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom (Oakley, CA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Freedom nudged Alhambra (Martinez, CA), 64-47, in a non-league contest.
