In Friday's league outing, the Monessen Greyhounds (Monessen, PA) basketball squad bounced the host Avella Eagles (Avella, PA), by a tally of 100-38.

With the victory, Monessen improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA) to play the Gators in a WPIAL A 3 challenge on Tuesday, December 23.
