Texas High School Basketball - Springlake-Earth holds off Silverton
December 3, 2009: Earth, TX 79031 Springlake-Earth Wolverines (Earth, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Silverton Owls (Silverton, TX), 53-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Springlake-Earth upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Klondike (Lamesa, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 5. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Klondike won 47-17 in their recent non-league bout against New Home (New Home, TX)
Next up, the Owls play the Ira Bulldogs (Ira, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 5. Silverton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 63-13 non-league win over Lazbuddie (Lazbuddie, TX).
