In Friday's league outing, the Thunderbird Chiefs (Phoenix, AZ) basketball squad beat the host Cactus Cobras (Glendale, AZ), by a count of 76-62.

The Chiefs (12-9) will now prepare for their outing against Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Falcons go into the II Section II outing with a 9-7 record. In their last outing, Cactus Shadows was topped by Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ), 50-47, in a non-league outing.

The Cobras now hold a 6-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shadow Ridge for a II Section II outing on Tuesday, January 24. Cactus will encounter a Stallions squad coming off a 73-64 league loss to Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Stallions record now stands at 6-13.
