The Chaparral Firebirds routed the visiting Ironwood Eagles basketball team by a final score of 77-46 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Firebirds face the Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ) in a 5A Desert Valley game, on Tuesday, January 11. Chaparral will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Huskies enter the game with a 10-5 record after their 64-56 non-league loss to Hamilton (Chandler, AZ).
