North Carolina High School Basketball - Weldon succumbs to Northampton-East
January 31, 2012: Weldon, NC 27890 The Northampton-East Rams topped the host Weldon Chargers basketball team by a final score of 53-43 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Rams face the Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) in a 1A Tar-Roanoke game, on Friday, February 3. Northampton-East will attempt to move on its 12-8 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 1-8 record after their 46-36 league loss to Gates County (Gatesville, NC).
With the defeat, Weldon moves to 4-6 on the year. The Chargers travel to North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC) to meet the Warriors in a 1A Tar-Roanoke battle on Friday, February 3. The Warriors come into the battle with a record of 3-10. North Edgecombe won 70-56 in their recent league battle against KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC)
