The Rifle Bears basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Olathe Pirates to 56 in the Bears league triumph on Saturday.

The Bears now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cedaredge for a 3A Western Slope contest on Friday, January 28. Rifle will meet a Bruins team coming off a 78-54 league loss to Coal Ridge (New Castle, CO). The Bruins record now stands at 2-11.

The Pirates (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Coal Ridge (New Castle, CO). The Titans enter the 3A Western Slope contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Coal Ridge nudged Cedaredge (Cedaredge, CO), 78-54, in a league contest.
