Texas High School Baseball - Carroll gets by Lamar
March 5, 2011: Southlake, TX 76092 Carroll Dragons (Southlake, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX), 12-9 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Carroll moves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX) to play the Panthers in a 5A Region I District 7 battle on Tuesday, March 8. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 3-5. Fossil Ridge lost 13-6 in their recent non-league battle against Lake Travis (Austin, TX)
The Vikings now possess a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arlington for a 5A Region I District 4 battle on Monday, March 7. Lamar will play a Colts squad coming off a 10-5 non-league win over Lee (Tyler, TX). The Colts record now stands at 6-6.
