Forbes Road (Waterfall, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting McConnellsburg Spartans (McConnellsburg, PA), 50-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Forbes Road upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The host Everett (Everett, PA) to battle the Warriors in a Sideling Hill challenge on Monday, January 16. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Everett won 67-32 in their recent league challenge against Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA)

Next up, the Spartans battle the Chestnut Ridge Lions (New Paris, PA) in a Sideling Hill challenge, on Monday, January 16. McConnellsburg will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 67-32 league loss to Everett (Everett, PA).
