In Friday's non-league match, the host University Phoenix basketball team scored a good 66-51 triumph over the New Providence Pioneers.

In their next game, the Phoenix confront the Dayton Bulldogs (Springfield, NJ) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 5. University will attempt to move on its 16-14 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 19-7 record after their 71-67 non-league win over Newark Vocational (Newark, NJ).
