Illinois High School Basketball - Belleville West overwhelms Waterloo
December 1, 2009: Belleville, IL 62223 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL) and the visiting Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL), saw Belleville West's basketball squad trounce Waterloo by a score of 72-41.
With the victory, Belleville West improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Granite City (Granite City, IL) to play the Warriors in a Southwestern challenge on Tuesday, December 8. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 1-1.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Friday, December 4. Waterloo will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 48-45 non-league loss to Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL).
