January 4, 2010: Mitchell, SD 57301 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mitchell Christian Golden Eagles (Mitchell, SD) and the visiting Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds (Wolsey, SD), saw Mitchell Christian's basketball squad trounce Wolsey-Wessington by a count of 73-48.
With the victory, Mitchell Christian upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Canistota (Canistota, SD) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 5. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Canistota won 64-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD)
Next up, the Warbirds play the DeSmet Bulldogs (DeSmet, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 8. Wolsey-Wessington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 63-48 non-league loss to Estelline (Estelline, SD).
