Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA), 67-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Mater Dei Catholic upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Crusaders host Olympian (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Eagles in a Mesa bout on Friday, January 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Olympian won 69-55 in their recent non-league bout against Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Eastlake Titans (Chula Vista, CA) in a Mesa bout, on Friday, January 31. Otay Ranch will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 15-7 record after their 52-45 league win over Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA).
